After extensive research into the topic of my choice, covid protease inhibitor, a quick sketch of potential layouts and topics I would like to pursue was created.
PBD data was extracted to get the molecular compounds for the covid protease and the inhbitor. The graphical representation was selected in VMD and then exported to Chimera where the binding site for the inhibitor was selected before being exported to Maya for final render.
The layout of the final piece is further refined, keeping in mind the essential information that needed to be included. A color scheme was selected and implemented to this digital sketch.
The molecules were rendered out in Maya in alpha channels so that the background of the final piece can be digitally painted behind the molecules.
